ANNUAL ACTIVITY CONTEST RULES
The objectives are:

a) To promote activity on the air by club members, both licensed and SWL’s.
b) To stimulate members into improving equipment, antennas and operating efficiency.

It is hoped that everyone will "have a go" in at least one, if not all, sections. Whilst the basic aim is to enjoy the contest, it is intended to present certificates to the winners in each section.

The following rules have been approved by the Committee and these will be reviewed if and when appropriate:

 1. Eligibility: Open to all paid-up members of MADARC.
 2. Period: From 1st November to the following 30th October.
 3. Only QSOs made by the member using his own callsign count.
 4. Operations may be from permanent QTH, /P or /M.
 5. Separate entries are required for /P or /M.
 6. Equipment must be operated in accordance with licence conditions.
 7. Only QSOs where full RS(T) has been exchanged will qualify.
 8. All modes of transmission may be used.
 9. Countries are those defined as DXCC countries.
10. Contacts through repeaters, satellites or via EME are invalid.
11. Squares are defined as IARU (Maidenhead) 2 degree x 1 degree squares.
12. The contest is divided into a number of sections, to provide all classes of licensees with an opportunity to participate. See table.
